Ingredients
  

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef The meat base for the filling.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Adds flavorful spices to the beef.
  • 2 cups shredded Colby Jack or pepper Jack cheese Provides the melty goodness in each cup.

Shell Ingredients

  • 6 pieces jumbo southern homestyle buttermilk biscuits Forms the outer shell of the Taco Cups.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Crumble and cook ground beef in a large skillet on medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons water, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and fold in cheese until melted and mixed.
  • Butter or spray a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick spray.
  • Split 6 biscuits horizontally and press each half into muffin tins.
  • Fill each muffin tin with 3-4 tablespoons of the taco filling.
  • Bake for 14-16 minutes until cheese is melted and biscuit edges are golden brown.
  • Run a knife around each biscuit to loosen and transfer to a serving tray. Optional: serve with toppings.

Notes

Taco Cups can be served with toppings like sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for customization. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
