Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Finely shred the green and purple cabbage using a sharp knife or box grater.
  • Grate the carrots until you have a cup of orange strands.
  • Place the shredded cabbage and grated carrots into a large mixing bowl.

Mixing Dressing

  • In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the dressing until smooth and creamy, then gently fold it into the cabbage and carrot mixture.

Chill and Serve

  • Toss until every strand is covered with the dressing and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • After chilling, taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with black pepper or chopped herbs.

Notes

For extra crunch, chill the cabbage for an hour before preparing. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
