Meat Mixture

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Melts to create a delicious stuffing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and Italian sausage with the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Add the breadcrumbs, eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, parsley, and milk. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  • If using spinach, add it to the mixture now. Mix all ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Prepare a baking dish lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Transfer half of the meat mixture into the prepared baking dish and gently press to form a rectangular loaf.
  • In the center, spread the shredded mozzarella cheese and top with ¼ cup of marinara sauce.
  • Layer the remaining meat mixture on top, sealing the cheese and sauce within.
  • Spread the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 60-75 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Slice the meatloaf into thick portions and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for better flavor. Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers for quick meals. This recipe is meal prep friendly.
