Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and ensure your workspace is clean and organized.
  • Wash the mixed greens under cold water, then pat dry or use a salad spinner.
  • Halve the cherry tomatoes and place them in a medium bowl.
  • Slice the avocado, red onion, and crumble the feta cheese while preparing a small serving bowl for the vinaigrette.
  • Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned steak.
  • Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness (130°F for medium-rare).
  • Remove the steak from the pan and allow it to rest for at least 5 minutes.
  • While the steak rests, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and red onion in a large bowl.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into strips and add to the salad.
  • Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and gently toss to combine.

Serving

  • Portion the salad into serving bowls, ensuring each has a generous amount of steak and veggies.
  • Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the top and serve immediately.
