  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for enhancing all the flavors present in the dish.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black peppercorns Imparts a subtle heat and complexity to the spice mix.
  • 2 cloves garlic Adds aromatic richness and depth to the roasted pumpkins.
  • 1 medium red chili pepper Provides a kick of heat and vibrant color to the dish.
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil Helps to coat and caramelize the pumpkin, enhancing flavor and texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the pumpkin into cubes of approximately 2 cm.
  • Finely chop the red chili pepper and garlic cloves.
  • Put all the herbs in a mortar and make a fine powder mixture.
  • Add the olive oil to the herb mixture until it becomes a smooth blend.

Cooking

  • Brush the pumpkin pieces with the mixture and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for half an hour in a preheated oven at 200°C.

Serving

  • Let them cool down a bit and enjoy the incredible aroma filling the room.

Notes

Choose a firm, ripe pumpkin for the best flavor and texture. Allow the pumpkin to roast undisturbed for crispy edges. Adjust the heat level by varying the amount of chili pepper used.
