Preparation

  • In another bowl, blend the softened butter and sour cream until creamy and smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla to the wet mixture; beat until well incorporated.

Cooking

  • Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter to a piping bag for easy filling of the donut pan.
  • Pipe the batter into the greased pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
