Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients listed above for your brownie.
  • Choose a microwave-safe mug or bowl to mix and cook your brownie, ensuring it’s large enough to hold your mixture.
  • Lightly grease the inside of your mug with a tiny bit of melted coconut oil or butter to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  • In your prepared mug, add all dry ingredients: chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, almond flour, sweetener, baking powder, and salt. Stir until even.
  • Next, mix in unsweetened applesauce, milk, and melted coconut oil or butter. Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  • If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and microwave on high for 30-60 seconds, keeping a close eye to avoid overcooking.

Serving

  • Allow the brownie to cool for a minute before digging in.
  • Use a spoon to scoop it directly from the mug.
