Sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine shrimp, soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil in a bowl and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Add the marinated shrimp and sauté for about 4 minutes until fully cooked and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms, sautéing for 4-5 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • Stir in the cooked shrimp and noodles to the skillet, mixing everything well.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil, then pour over the mixture in the skillet. Toss to combine and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  • Adjust the seasoning to taste, add garnishes if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure shrimp is well-marinated but not for too long. Rinse noodles quickly under cold water to prevent sticking. Taste the sauce before serving for adjustments.
