  • 2 cloves garlic Enhances overall flavor.
  • 2 tbs butter Coats the noodles beautifully.
  • 2 tbs sliced green onion Adds freshness.
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper Enhances flavor balance.
  • 2 tbs toasted sesame seeds Adds crunch.
  • 1 tsp sriracha Optional for heat.
  • 1 tbs peanut butter Optional for creaminess.
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes Optional for extra spice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
  • Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  • Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.

Sauce Preparation

  • While the pasta cooks, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl.

Combining Ingredients

  • Return the drained pasta to the pot, add butter and ¼ cup of the reserved pasta water, tossing until the butter melts and coats the noodles.
  • Pour the prepared soy-sesame mixture over the noodles, adding sliced green onions as you toss to combine thoroughly.
  • Add more reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the noodles and prevent sticking.

Finishing Touches

  • Finish with black pepper and any optional toppings before serving hot or chilled.

Notes

For best results, ensure pasta is cooked al dente. Customize with protein or additional vegetables as desired.
