  • 2 leaves Bay leaves Enhances aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Herbal freshness.
  • 4 cups Beef broth For moisture and flavor.

For Serving

  • 12 pieces Corn tortillas Warm before serving.
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped, for garnish.
  • 2 pieces Lime Cut into wedges for squeezing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by preparing your ingredients, chopping onions and mincing garlic.
  • Season the beef generously with chili powder, cumin, and oregano.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides, then transfer to a slow cooker.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  • Add beef broth, bay leaves, and the sautéed mixture to the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for about 480 minutes or until the beef is tender and easily shreds.

Serving

  • Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  • Warm the corn tortillas in a hot skillet until pliable.
  • Fill the tortillas with the shredded beef, then top with fresh cilantro and squeeze lime juice over each taco.

Notes

Marinate the beef overnight with spices for extra flavor. Use leftover broth to cook rice or beans for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
