Ingredients

For the dip

  • 1 can white beans Drained and rinsed
  • 1 head roasted garlic Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 tsp sea salt To taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper To taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For blending and drizzling
  • 2 tbsp water To adjust consistency
  • 1 tbsp oregano Fresh or dried
  • 1 tbsp basil Fresh or dried
  • 1 tbsp parsley Chopped, plus extra for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Drain the white beans of their liquid and rinse in a strainer. Pat dry.
  • In a food processor, add all the ingredients. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • You can add more olive oil if you prefer your dip to be even thinner, but add extra seasonings to compensate for the extra liquid.
  • Serve in a bowl, and if possible, allow to chill for 2 hours before serving so flavors can marry together.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, garnish with parsley, and serve with chips.

Notes

For a gourmet twist, use homemade roasted garlic. Adjust olive oil based on taste preferences. Consider adding finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives for extra flavor and texture.
