  • 12 pieces Fresh strawberries Choose firm strawberries for best results.
  • 1 cup White chocolate candy melts Used for dipping.
  • 1 cup Blue chocolate candy melts Used for dipping.

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Patriotic jimmies Festive sprinkles for decoration.
  • 1/4 cup Nonpareils For decoration.
  • 1/4 cup Blue sugar crystals Add sparkle to finished product.
  • 1 tablespoon Edible glitter Optional, for extra fun.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate candy discs in 30-second intervals until completely melted.
  • Dip strawberries halfway into melted white chocolate and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Allow dipped strawberries to dry for 5-10 minutes.
  • Melt blue chocolate candy discs in the same manner as the white discs.
  • Dip a few strawberries into the blue chocolate, about 1/4 way up, then immediately add sprinkles.
  • Dip a few additional strawberries in the white chocolate and add sprinkles.
  • Place the decorated strawberries back on the parchment paper to dry again.

Notes

For best results, ensure strawberries are dry before dipping and experiment with different toppings for variety. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
