Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy cream Adds creaminess to the sauce.
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce Provides tanginess and depth.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese For a rich, nutty finish.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing the garlic.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Infuses the dish with flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil (chopped) Adds a fresh touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat.
  • Add salt once boiling to enhance pasta flavor.
  • Mince the garlic finely.
  • Gather all ingredients within reach.
  • Chop fresh basil for garnish.

Cooking

  • Add the pasta to boiling water; cook according to package instructions, typically 8–10 minutes.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream, cooking until slightly thickened.
  • Mix in marinara sauce, creating the pink sauce.
  • Once pasta is al dente, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
  • Add the drained pasta to the pink sauce; toss to combine, using pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  • Sprinkle in grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted.

Serving

  • Remove skillet from heat and serve pasta warm.
  • Garnish with fresh basil.
  • Optional: Serve with extra Parmesan on the side.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
