Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • ½ whole pineapple (finely diced) Fresh pineapple brings natural sweetness and an aromatic flavor.
  • 1 whole jalapeño (finely diced) Offers a spicy kick; feel free to adjust based on heat preference.
  • 1 tbsp red onion (finely diced) Adds a mild onion flavor and a pop of color.
  • 1 tbsp cilantro (finely chopped) Contributes freshness and enhances the overall flavor.
  • ½ whole lime (juiced) Brightens and balances the salsa with acidity.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Slice the top and bottom off of your pineapple, and remove the rough skin from the sides.
  • Turn the pineapple on its side and cut half into ½-inch slices. Save the other half for another recipe.
  • Remove the stem from the jalapeño, deseed it for a milder flavor, and finely dice.
  • Dice the red onion and add it to the mixing bowl.
  • Finely chop the cilantro and add it to the bowl.
  • Juice the lime and mix all ingredients together. Serve.
