  • 8 medium red apples Provides a crunchy and juicy base.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Forms the smooth, sweet coating on the apples.
  • 1/2 cup blue sparkling sanding sugar or blue sprinkles Adds the festive blue colors.
  • 8 pieces Popsicle sticks Enables easy handling and eating of the candied apples.

Preparation

  • Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Add the sprinkles to a bowl and set aside.
  • Insert a popsicle stick into the center of each apple.
  • Pour the white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Continue in 15-second intervals until completely melted.
  • Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate, leaving 1/3 of the apple showing. Let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  • Carefully hold the apple over the sprinkle bowl and use a spoon to sprinkle the bottom portion with blue sprinkles.
  • Place the dipped apple onto the prepared cookie sheet and let the chocolate harden completely.

Notes

Ensure apples are thoroughly washed and dried before starting. Use high-quality chocolate and allow adequate cooling time for best results.
