Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Bone-in chicken thighs Ideal for juicy flavor as they roast; help retain moisture.
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder Adds a robust flavor that enhances the chicken.
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder Provides a savory depth that balances the spices.
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika Gives a subtle smokiness and beautiful color.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning A fragrant mix that ties all the flavors together.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Helps achieve crispy skin and prevents sticking.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Take out your chicken thighs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, and a drizzle of olive oil to form a paste.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring every inch is covered.

Cooking

  • Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 45–50 minutes.
  • The thighs are done when their internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), and the skin is golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5–10 minutes for optimal juiciness.
  • Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
  • Drizzle with a touch of olive oil or a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added flavor.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to check doneness accurately. For added crispiness, a quick broil at the end is recommended. Letting the thighs rest post-baking allows juices to redistribute.
