Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar Sifted for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup Can be swapped for honey or maple syrup.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened or vegan butter as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract Essential for the classic mint flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Milk Can use dairy, almond, or oat milk to adjust consistency.
  • a few drops Red Gel Food Coloring For tinting one batch.
  • a few drops Green Gel Food Coloring For tinting the second batch.
  • optional Edible Glitter For a sparkly finish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools—a mixing bowl, a spatula, and a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sift the powdered sugar for a smooth, clump-free texture.

Mixing

  • In your mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, light corn syrup, softened butter, peppermint extract, and milk.
  • Mix until well combined. If it’s too thick, add a bit more milk.
  • Separate the mixture into two bowls. Tint one red and the other green using food coloring.
  • Roll the mix into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.

Finishing Touches

  • Once all the balls are rolled, you can roll them in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.
  • If using edible glitter, add it now for a fun sparkle!
  • Let them chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Sift powdered sugar for a smooth texture, adjust milk for consistency, and chill for best results. These treats can easily be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
