Ingredients
  

  • 20 cookies Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs (plus 5 reserved for topping)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth or creamy variety
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip, divided
  • 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups cold milk, for pudding preparation

Instructions
 

  • Set aside about 5 Oreo cookies to top the pie.
  • Pulse the remaining Oreos in a food processor until they form fine crumbs.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and Oreo crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the crust.
  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add half of the Cool Whip, peanut butter, and powdered sugar, beating until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture over the Oreo crust.
  • Combine cold milk and instant pudding according to package instructions.
  • Spread pudding layer over the pie once set.
  • Top with remaining Cool Whip.
  • Decorate with crumbled Oreos or chocolate shavings.
  • Chill for a couple of hours before serving.
  • Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, chill overnight. Optional: use chocolate peanut butter for extra flavor or garnish with crushed peanuts or shaved chocolate.
