Preparation

  • Set Up Your Stations: Grab three shallow bowls—one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and another for breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  • Prep the Cheese: Unwrap the string cheese sticks and cut each one in half.
  • Coat the Cheese: Dip each cheese stick first in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Chill: Place the coated cheese sticks on a baking sheet and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat the Oil: In a large pan, pour enough oil to cover the bottom and heat over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Fry the Mozzarella Sticks: Carefully add a few cheese sticks to the hot oil, ensuring you don’t overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 1-2 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
