Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Allow them to sit for at least 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the marinated chicken breasts in a baking dish and arrange lemon slices on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • For additional flavor, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
