For the Cod

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the baking dish by lightly spraying it with nonstick spray.
  • Melt the butter in a small bowl, and mix in the lemon juice, minced garlic, sea salt, and red pepper flakes.
  • Rinse the cod fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.

Cooking

  • Place the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the lemon butter mixture over the fillets evenly.
  • Sprinkle the capers over the fish and dust everything with paprika.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cod flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the dish from the oven.
  • Garnish with fresh lemon slices or a sprinkle of parsley, if desired.
  • Serve hot, pairing with rice, veggies, or a light salad.
