Preparation

  • Hard boil the eggs: Place the eggs in a pot of water, bring to a boil, then simmer for about 9–12 minutes.
  • Cool the eggs: Transfer them to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
  • Peel carefully: Once cool, gently peel each egg, taking care not to break them.
  • Prepare the sausage: In a large bowl, mix the breakfast sausage with salt and pepper until well combined.

Cooking/Assembling

  • Preheat air fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wrap the eggs: Take a portion of the sausage mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place the peeled egg in the center and gently wrap the sausage around it.
  • Coat with crumbs: Roll the sausage-wrapped egg in panko crumbs until evenly coated.
  • Air fry the eggs: Place the eggs in the basket of your air fryer and cook for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.

  • Check doneness: Ensure the sausage is cooked through and the exterior is crispy.
