  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries Choose perfectly ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Enhances flavor and balances tartness.

  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Adds brightness to the flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops and ensure they are clean and free of leaves.
  • Cut the strawberries into halves or quarters for even blending.
  • Measure out the sugar, water, and lemon juice in separate bowls.

Cooking and Assembly

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water, stirring until sugar dissolves for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the lemon juice and strawberries to the mixture and simmer for another 3-4 minutes until the strawberries soften.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until completely smooth.

Freezing and Serving

  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish suitable for freezing, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover the dish and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  • Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes before scooping.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to serve into bowls and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use perfectly ripe strawberries. Store leftovers in airtight containers; it will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. Let it sit before serving for better scooping.
