  • Grate the English cucumber and place it in a small colander over a bowl to catch excess liquid.
  • Squeeze the grated cucumber and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to drain the moisture.
  • In a bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, mint, olive oil, salt, and minced garlic.

Final Steps

  • After draining the cucumber, squeeze it again and place it on a paper towel to absorb more liquid.
  • Combine the drained cucumber with the yogurt mixture and refrigerate.
  • Let the tzatziki sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For the best results, use full-fat Greek yogurt and ensure the cucumber is well drained to prevent a watery dip. This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
