Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all of your ingredients on a clean countertop.
  • Finely mince the dill pickle, onion, capers, and parsley.
  • Juice half a lemon and set aside the juice.

Mixing

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, dill pickle, dill pickle juice, and buttermilk.
  • Add the minced onion, capers, and parsley, then stir until well combined.
  • Pour in the lemon juice, and add white pepper and kosher salt. Mix thoroughly.

Serving

  • Transfer the sauce to an airtight container or serving bowl.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with seafood or as a dip for veggies.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, reduce the buttermilk. This sauce keeps well for up to one week in the fridge. Avoid freezing as the texture may change.
