Preparation

  • Mix in the cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition to ensure thorough blending.
  • Gently fold in all-purpose flour and cornstarch until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped semisweet chocolate, ensuring even distribution throughout the batter.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Place in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Topping

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just steaming, then pour it over the remaining chopped chocolate.

Notes
