Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: coconut milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Prepare your cooking space with a saucepan, measuring cups, and a spoon for stirring.
  • Make sure the coconut milk is at room temperature for easy blending with the sugar.

Cooking

  • Pour 1 cup of coconut milk into a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add 1 cup of sugar and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves completely—about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of salt, continuing to stir for 5 more minutes until the mixture lightly thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to a glass jar.

Serving

  • Once cooled, pour the syrup into small serving dishes or drizzle it over your favorite breakfast staples.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with fresh fruits or nuts for added texture and flavor.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For freezing, use a silicone ice cube tray or freezer-safe container. Reheat gently before serving.
