Main ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef steak The star of the dish, sliced into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil For frying.
  • 4 cups Assorted vegetables Such as bell peppers, zucchini, or broccoli.

Preparation

  • Start by slicing the beef steak into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
  • Add beef to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated.
  • Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to develop flavors.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned and cooked through.
  • Add in the assorted vegetables and stir-fry them for 3-5 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Serve the hibachi steak with a side of steamed rice or lettuce wraps.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

For best results, marinate overnight, and always cut the beef against the grain for tenderness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and comfortably freeze for up to 3 months.
