Heavenly Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake Rolls
These delightful dessert rolls combine a flaky crescent dough filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture and fresh strawberries, perfect for warm weather and special occasions.
Ingredients
For the cheesecake filling
- 8 oz cream cheese Softened to room temperature
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the rolls
- 1 package crescent roll dough Flaky and buttery
- 1 cup fresh strawberries Sliced for topping
- 1 cup powdered sugar For dusting
- 1 dollop whipped cream For serving
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Gather all your ingredients and tools: cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, crescent roll dough, strawberries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream.
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
Cooking
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Open the package of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up the triangle starting at the wide end, tucking in the sides as you go to keep the filling inside.
- Place the rolls on the baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
- Once baked, let the rolls cool slightly.
- Top each roll with sliced strawberries and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on the side for extra indulgence!
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling. You can store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a quick swap, mascarpone cheese can be used instead of cream cheese for a richer taste.
