Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, then drain any excess fat.
  • Arrange the thinly sliced potatoes in the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  • In a bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour this mixture over the potatoes.
  • Layer the cooked ground beef on top of the mixture, followed by the remaining potato slices.
  • Pour the remaining soup mixture over the entire top layer.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the casserole.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

This casserole is great for meal prep. Assemble it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator before baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
