Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef Feel free to swap for turkey or beans.
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup Cooked White Rice Quinoa is a great alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Greek yogurt works too.
  • 1 cup Nacho Cheese Sauce Feel free to use cheddar cheese instead.
  • 2 tbsp Chipotle Sauce Adjust based on your spice preference.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Monterey Jack is a nice substitute.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Can use all cheddar if preferred.
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas Corn tortillas can be used for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tbsp Butter or Oil Olive oil is a lighter choice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and utensils.
  • Cook your white rice according to package directions if you haven’t done so yet.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).

Cooking/Assembling

  • Stir in the taco seasoning, cooked rice, chipotle sauce, sour cream, nacho cheese, and half of your shredded cheeses into the skillet. Mix well until everything is warmed through and melty.
  • Lay out flour tortillas and evenly distribute the mixture onto them.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheeses on top of the filled tortillas and fold them into burritos.

Serving

  • Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Grill each burrito until it’s golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Slice in half, serve warm, and dive into the cheesy goodness!

Notes

For best results, avoid overfilling the burritos and make sure to preheat your skillet for a crispy texture. Consider adding sautéed veggies for more flavor and nutrition.
