Ingredients
  

For the Tacos

  • 1 lb Carne Asada Grilled to perfection
  • 2 medium Avocados Creamy texture and healthy fats
  • 1 cup Cotija Cheese Adds a salty finish
  • 1 small Onion Freshly diced for crunch and sweetness
  • 1 bunch Cilantro Brightens flavors and adds color
  • 8 small Tortillas The perfect vessel for the ingredients
  • 2 medium Limes Essential for a zesty garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients and kitchen tools, including a grill or air fryer.
  • Take the carne asada out of the fridge and let it rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Finely dice the onions and chop the cilantro. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F or 190°C).
  • Season both sides of the carne asada with your preferred spices.
  • Grill the carne asada for about 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it reaches medium-rare.
  • Let the beef rest for 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain into thin strips.
  • Warm the tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.

Serving

  • Arrange sliced carne asada on warm tortillas.
  • Add diced onion, crumbled cotija cheese, and chopped cilantro over the beef.
  • Top with avocado slices and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, let the carne asada marinate for a couple of hours. Store leftovers in separate containers for fresh leftovers. Can be made gluten-free with corn tortillas.
