Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Fresh Asparagus Tender and grassy; the star of the dish.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Adds richness and helps roast efficiently.
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt Enhances the asparagus's natural flavor.
  • 1 medium Lemon Brightens and elevates the taste profile.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse the asparagus under cold water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Snap off the woody ends for the best texture.
  • Place a large piece of foil on a flat surface, enough to wrap the asparagus.
  • Arrange the asparagus in the center of the foil.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle sea salt over the spears, then add lemon juice.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
  • Fold the foil around the asparagus to create a sealed pouch.
  • Place the foil packet directly on the grill grates.
  • Cook for about 10–12 minutes, turning halfway to ensure even cooking.
  • Check for doneness; the asparagus should be tender yet slightly crisp and bright green.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the foil packet from the grill; it will be very hot.
  • Open the foil slowly to release the steam.
  • Transfer the asparagus to a serving platter.
  • Drizzle with additional lemon juice if desired, or serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh asparagus and avoid overcrowding the foil packet. Experiment with adding spices, herbs, or substituting oils for added flavor.
