  • 2 cups French Fried Onions Divided for topping

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Rinse and trim the fresh green beans, removing any tough ends.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Add the trimmed green beans into the bowl and gently fold until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Transfer the green bean mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, until the green beans are tender.
  • Carefully remove from the oven and stir in half of the French fried onions.
  • Top with the remaining French fried onions.

Serving

  • Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  • Allow the casserole to rest for five minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, crunchy goodness!

Notes

For added depth, consider a splash of lemon juice in the mixture. Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for up to three days. Optionally freeze the uncooked casserole for up to two months.
