Ingredients

Dough and Fillings

  • 1 lb soft dough
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey for a lighter option
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley Fresh herbs add brightness
  • 1 egg for egg wash Egg whites also work
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds Adds a delightful crunch

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by heating a skillet and cooking the ground beef until it’s beautifully browned. Drain any excess fat, then sprinkle in salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for an additional minute.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and gently fold in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  • Divide the soft dough into smaller pieces and roll each piece into a circle. Add a tablespoon of the cheesy filling to the center.
  • Pinch the edges together to seal the filling inside, then gently roll them into smooth balls.
  • Brush the cheese bombs with an egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Once baked, brush with melted butter and garlic mixed with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

These cheese bombs store beautifully in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge or can be frozen for up to a month. Reheat them in the oven for a crispy texture. For seasonal variations, you can change fillings based on what’s in season.
