  • 1 loaf 1 loaf of bread (French or Italian) Provides a crusty exterior.
  • 1 cup 1 cup assorted meats (pepperoni, ham, sausage) Add flavor and protein.
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar) Melts beautifully, creating a gooey filling.
  • 1 cup 1 cup assorted vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms) Adds color and nutrients.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons olive oil For roasting the veggies.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a fragrant taste.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Brings Mediterranean flavor.
  • to taste none Salt and pepper Enhances all the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Gather your ingredients: bread, assorted meats, cheese, veggies, and seasonings.
  • Chop your vegetables into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Mix your meats and veggies in a large bowl and add olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and carefully hollow out the insides to make room for the filling.

Cooking/Assembling

  • Add your meat and veggie mixture into the hollowed-out loaf.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the filling.
  • Place the other half of the loaf on top and gently press down.
  • Brush the outside of the bread with a little olive oil.
  • Wrap it tightly in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.

Serving

  • Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the bread is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Cut into slices and serve warm.

Notes

Best served with marinara sauce for dipping or a fresh green salad on the side. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and experiment with different fillings.
