Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 3 cups fresh ripe strawberries Sweet and juicy fruit filling.
  • ½-¾ cup granulated sugar Balances tartness and enhances sweetness.

Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Forms the base of the cobbler topping.
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder Helps the topping rise and become fluffy.
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt Enhances the flavors in the dish.
  • 1 cup warm whole milk Can substitute with almond milk.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a warm, comforting flavor.
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted) Richness that brings everything together.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Hull and dice the strawberries, and place them in a large bowl.
  • Sprinkle ½ cup of sugar over the strawberries and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.

Cooking

  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
  • Gradually stir in the warm milk and vanilla until just combined.
  • Pour the melted butter into a baking dish and then pour the batter over the butter (don’t stir!).
  • Evenly distribute the strawberries and their juice over the batter.

Serving

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before scooping into bowls.
  • Serve warm, and top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!

Notes

Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
