Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice and shredded chicken.
  • Pour in the French onion soup and milk. Stir until well mixed.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  • Transfer the chicken and rice mixture into the greased baking dish.
  • Top evenly with shredded cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Serving

  • Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and serve warm.

Notes

For extra creaminess, swap half the milk with Greek yogurt. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes before baking for better flavor melding. This dish can also be prepared with leftover rotisserie chicken.
