For the Sliders

  • 6 pieces French rolls or slider buns The sturdy base that holds all the deliciousness.
  • 1 pound roast beef, sliced thin The heart of the sliders, offering tender and savory flavor.
  • 1 cup caramelized onions Adds a sweet and rich depth, prepared in advance.
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese Melts beautifully, giving that creamy texture.
  • 2 cups beef broth Makes the dip flavorful and savory.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Adds richness and helps toast the buns.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder A dash enhances the overall flavor.
  • to taste none pepper For a touch of spice.
  • optional none horseradish or mustard For those who like a little kick.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the French rolls in half and line them on a baking sheet.
  • Thinly slice the roast beef if not already done.
  • Caramelize your onions in a pan until golden, about 10-15 minutes.

Cooking/Assembling

  • Melt butter in a small bowl and mix in garlic powder.
  • Brush the inside of each roll with the garlic butter.
  • Layer roast beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.
  • Place the tops back on and pour beef broth into a shallow dish.

Serving

  • Dip each slider briefly in the warm beef broth.
  • Place sliders back on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the tops are golden.
  • Serve warm with extra broth on the side for dipping.

Notes

For best results, don't over-toast the sliders and store leftovers in an airtight container. Freezing is also an option for up to two months.
