Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Carefully place wonton wrappers in each muffin cup, pressing gently to form a cup shape.
  • Brush the tops lightly with vegetable oil for an even golden-brown finish.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are golden and crispy.

Cook/Assemble

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef or turkey; cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Once browned, drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Remove the baked wonton cups from the oven and carefully fill each with the cooked meat mixture.
  • Top each filled cup with shredded lettuce and a scoop of guacamole.
  • Crown with a dollop of salsa and sour cream, adding cheese on top if desired.

Serve

  • Garnish your taco salad cups with additional toppings like olives or jalapeños.
  • Serve warm with extra salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
  • Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for meal prep.

Notes

For extra crunch, double-bake the wonton cups for another 2-3 minutes. Consider adding black beans for additional fiber and protein. Store leftover taco filling separately to keep wonton cups crispy.
