  • Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually stir in flour, one cup at a time, until a dough begins to form.

Cooking

  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

Serving

  • Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Sprinkle cornmeal on your baking sheet or pizza stone, then place the rolled-out dough on it.
  • Brush the dough lightly with olive oil, add your pizza sauce, cheese, and favorite toppings.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

Don’t skip the rise; using warm water is essential to activate the yeast. Store dough safely in the fridge or freezer if not using immediately. Experiment with toppings for varied flavors.
