Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken breasts with taco seasoning and olive oil, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • In the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the chicken, allowing it to melt.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Top with salsa and crushed tortilla chips for added crunch before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken with taco seasoning overnight. Store leftovers in airtight containers for freshness. Pair with fresh vegetables or salad for a balanced meal.
