Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
  • Rinse and cut the fresh broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

Cooking

  • Place the broccoli florets in the greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the mayonnaise mixture over the broccoli, ensuring even coverage.
  • Sprinkle ¾ cup of grated cheddar cheese on top of the broccoli.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and the cheese is golden.

Serving

  • Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes to set slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm alongside your favorite whole grain or as a standalone dish.

Notes
