Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef For a lighter variation, consider using ground turkey.
  • 1 ounce package of taco seasoning Adjust spice level to your preference.
  • 4 large burrito-sized tortillas These hold all the fillings.
  • 3/4 cup nacho cheese sauce, warmed Feel free to customize with a homemade cheese sauce.
  • 4 pieces tostada shells Can be replaced with crisp tortilla chips.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be a lighter alternative.
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce Adds freshness and crunch.
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes Other veggies can also be added.
  • 1/4 cup taco sauce Salsa can be a fun alternative.
  • 4 small taco-sized tortillas Consider using corn tortillas for a twist.
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Or Mexican blend cheese; Monterey Jack works too.
  • 1 tablespoon oil for frying For a lighter choice, use cooking spray.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet set over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess liquid.
  • Add taco seasoning and a splash of water to the pan, mixing well to combine.
  • Remove the beef mixture from the skillet and set it aside.
  • On a clean countertop, lay out each of the burrito-sized tortillas.
  • For each tortilla, layer half a cup of seasoned beef, a drizzle of nacho cheese, a layer of sour cream on the tostada shell, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and cheese.
  • Drizzle with taco sauce before folding the tortilla edges tightly, creating pleats.
  • Flip the wrapped tortilla seam-side down.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in the skillet over medium heat.
  • Gently place 1-2 Crunch Wraps in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, flipping halfway through.
  • Serve warm, sliced in half to reveal the filling.

Notes

Store any unassembled ingredients separately in the fridge for up to three days. For a veggie version, replace beef with grilled vegetables or beans.
