Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut the pastry into rectangles about 3x5 inches.

Cooking

  • Brush each rectangle with melted butter.
  • Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle generously onto the buttered pastry.
  • Roll the pastry tightly from one short side to the other to form a log shape.
  • Cut each log into smaller pieces and place them in a greased muffin tin.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake the cruffins for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  • Allow them to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes
