Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread olive oil on a baking sheet.
  • Place corn tortillas on the sheet, ensuring even spacing.
  • Season shredded chicken with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Set aside your toppings: chop lettuce, dice tomatoes, slice avocado, and chop cilantro.

Cooking/Assembling

  • Brush tortillas lightly with olive oil, then bake for 10-12 minutes until crisp.
  • Remove tortillas from the oven when golden and fragrant.
  • Top each tortilla with seasoned chicken, distributed evenly.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Carefully remove tostadas from the oven; allow to cool slightly.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and slices of avocado.
  • Add a dollop of sour cream and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy every bite!

Notes

For extra crunch, broil the tortillas for the last 2 minutes after baking. You can also use leftover rotisserie chicken for a quick prep alternative.
