Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools: a cutting board, three bowls, and a frying pan.
  • Cut the chicken breast into strips and place them in one of the bowls.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • In the third bowl, beat the two eggs lightly to create an egg wash.
  • Arrange your bowls in an assembly line for an efficient coating process.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in the frying pan over medium-high heat (about 350°F / 175°C).
  • Coat each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg wash.
  • Transfer the egg-coated chicken to the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Carefully place coated chicken tenders into the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (165°F / 74°C).

Serving

  • Remove cooked tenders and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Notes
