Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil the water. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the gnocchi.
  • Sauté the shrimp. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, then add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque.
  • Prepare the sauce. Remove shrimp and set aside. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, onion, and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  • Simmer the sauce. Stir in hot honey and flour, cooking for a minute before adding water and cream, then simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Cook the gnocchi. Add gnocchi to boiling water and cook until they float, usually about 2–3 minutes, then drain.
  • Finish the shrimp and gnocchi. Add the cooked gnocchi and shrimp back to the sauce, then stir in lemon juice and parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • To serve. Serve warm, garnishing with extra Parmigiano Reggiano and additional parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure not to overcook the shrimp and gnocchi. This dish can be meal prepped and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
