Preparation

  • Slice the boneless chicken breasts thinly lengthwise to ensure even cooking.
  • Season your sliced chicken with salt and pepper to enhance the natural flavors.
  • Gather all your ingredients so they’re ready when it’s time to cook.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted and hot.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  • Add the seasoned chicken slices to the skillet. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and incorporate the cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cream cheese melts and forms a sauce.
  • Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top and stir until melted and combined into the sauce, about 2 minutes.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Serve hot, drizzling the creamy sauce over the chicken.
