Main Ingredients

  • 4 ears Corn on the cob Provides sweetness and excellent texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adds a spicy flavor kick.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Enhances richness and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese Gives a savory, cheesy note.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds wonderful aroma and depth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper For a subtle spicy note.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by shucking the corn, removing all the husks and silk.
  • Carefully cut the corn kernels off the cob using a sharp knife.
  • In a bowl, combine the corn kernels, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat; add the butter.
  • Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the seasoned corn mixture.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly caramelized.
  • During the final minute, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the corn, allowing it to melt slightly.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and transfer the corn to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with extra Parmesan if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For added richness, you can use flavored butter. Ensure corn is fresh and sweet for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Mix in sautéed bell peppers for added color and nutrition. Consider using frozen corn if fresh isn’t available; just thaw it before cooking. Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice before serving for an extra zing.
